For distributors and importers, certifications aren't paperwork — they're what keep a shipment from being stopped at customs or rejected by retailers. Before you place a wholesale or OEM order, make sure your supplier's clippers carry the right marks for your market.

CE (European Conformity)

Required for the European market, the CE mark shows a product meets EU safety, health and environmental requirements. For electronics it typically covers EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and LVD (low voltage directive). Selling into the EU without it is not an option.

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

RoHS restricts hazardous materials like lead and certain flame retardants in electronics. It's mandatory for the EU and increasingly expected worldwide as a baseline quality and safety signal.

FCC (United States)

The FCC mark certifies that electronic devices meet US limits for electromagnetic interference. It's required to legally sell electronics in the United States.

KC (Korea) & Other Regional Marks

Markets like South Korea require their own certification (KC). Confirm the specific marks your destination countries demand before importing.

ISO 9001 & BSCI

Beyond product marks, factory-level credentials matter: ISO 9001 signals a documented quality-management system, and BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) signals audited, ethical manufacturing — both increasingly required by serious retail buyers.

Always Verify Before You Order

Ask suppliers for actual certificates, not just claims, and confirm they cover the exact models you're buying. Reputable manufacturers provide documentation readily; hesitation is a red flag.
